Public Transport Maps

Public transport maps from non-English-speaking countries often don’t appear in search engine results because they are indexed in the local language. Mapsta.net provides quick links to some of these maps – as well as a few UK maps that we’ve found useful or especially good. See Maps and Info top right. –>

Ordnance Survey maps (Britain)

Some maps of footpaths, bridleways, and other rights of way in areas of Britain such as Dartmoor National Park in Devon, Gower in Wales, and West Oxfordshire are listed on the UK – OS maps page. View these 1:50000 scale ordnance survey Landranger maps free in full screen mode online, and/or buy the folding paper versions through the links provided.

Big full-screen maps with local search

Do you wish you could see big Google maps and satellite views filling the whole screen – without all the surrounding clutter? Mapsta.net/full-screen is a big searchable map that goes right to the edges of your screen (if you press the f11 key). Just type a place-name in the search box, bottom left, and start exploring countries and cities. Or drag and zoom the world map to street level.
You can then use the search box (bottom left) for local search – Find hotels, shops, restaurants for example, and see them on the map.
